Hi! I'm daimira, and this is the current incarnation of an original fiction archive that was formerly known as Secret Window and ...And Far Away on various domains, which are, mostly, now dead.

All stories are works in progress, except maybe the poetry and the one-shots. Anyway, if you're looking for my real weblog/LJ, it's right over here. Feel free to add this or that to your friends list. I also occasionally post haikus on my tumblr account. Michael/ Jamie [(Paranormal) Romance/ Comedy] Updated! (27 Aug 2010)
Boy meets girl, and they fall in love. That's the way it should go, right? But falling in love is never easy. Especially when you're not exactly normal. Later volumes will be much darker than the first. Note: This is actually a prequel to Dream Weaver by a few generations.

Poetry

Summary: Jamie is upset; Michael comes along and orders half a restaurant's menu.
Excerpt: I was still my father’s son, of course. And even if no one recognized my face, that tone of voice was something people understood.

Summary: The banter is back!  Yay!  I write horrible angst, I know.  Thankfully this time there isn't any!  Michael is still weird, though.  Also, Jennifer is athletic, Jamie is back to her usual self and is threatened with getting shoved out of a moving vehicle (how sweet, Michael).  (And please, someone told me how Bella reminded her of Jamie.  PLEASE REASSURE ME THAT ISN'T SO.  I mean, Jamie's response to stalking is pretty much correct!)
Excerpt: Life, I thought sourly as I pedaled, was really unfair.

Summary: In which Michael is weird, is tortured, and can't find the words to apologize.  I don't even know why this chapter exists, apart from how it points out Michael's weirdness.
Excerpt: It always turned out that way. Why was it easier to apologize to a stranger whose foot you’d stepped on than to someone you actually care about whom you’d treated badly?

( Michael is also kind of creepy if he doesn't like you. )

Summary: Kit drabbles. Before he ever met Will. If you want to know why he's so screwed up in the head, read this.
Warnings: Let see, I'd put this around PG-15 for themes and mild language. Nothing actually happens explicitly, but there's implied sex and rape. Sorry if that squicks you.

Summary: In which, er, nothing much happens. Just set up for later events. Jamie makes her boyfriend ask her out.
Excerpt: I understood. Painting for him was like running for me: a way out. I also realized that he’d dragged me here not so much to help him paint but more to keep him company... I felt strangely pleased.

Summary: Michael runs away, is quite stupid but pretty normal for a 17-year-old.
Excerpt: And there it was. I swear there must be some kind of rule written down somewhere that said people should call me by my first name whenever they were annoyed with me. I had grown to despise the sound of it. It was usually a prelude to yelling.

*cue angsty music*

Chapter 13 (Part b): Michael

Summary: Jamie is not universally loved, is concerned by Mike's apparent girl-chasing ways -- oh, and is STILL in denial. Meanwhile, Mike declares hatred of carrots and Schubert.
Excerpt: I wasn’t sure myself why I was cranky. Perhaps it had to do with being dragged out of bed by Tonie Melman, or having to work so hard so early in the morning, or not having that second cup of coffee… It could have been anything, really.
